How It Works

When you submit a YouTube URL, our service retrieves the available captions for that video. YouTube videos often have captions that are either:

  • Auto-generated by YouTube's speech recognition, which are generally good but may contain some errors

We format these captions into readable paragraphs that you can copy to your clipboard or download as a text file.

Limitations

Our tool can only retrieve transcripts for videos that have captions available. Some videos may not have transcripts because:
